Welcome Back

We were approached by The Moore Agency with a fun project for their client, Florida Dental Association. They asked us to produce vertical social media videos to be used as sponsor ads targeting young adults to get them to come back to see their dentist. We featured five different scenarios that embodied the typical moments people go through before they go back to see their dentist after a long break. Knowing that we will only be delivering in vertical aspects, we turned the camera on its side and shot in a physical vertical format the entire day.

Production Vertically Challenged

One of the biggest challenges we faced was framing for 9x16 since this series was intended primarily for social media vertical formats. To do this, we turned our camera on its side and filmed natively in 9x16, this gave us the best change to preserve all of the resolution and avoid cropping a 16x9 to 9x16 in post. With this in mind, our pre-viz scout was done vertically and gave us a good starting point to achieve our final shots.
